Update: This post is outdated. The tier system has changed; your game can receive advanced tier automatically upon meeting requirements which you can see in settings.
Here are the requirements for advanced tier currently.
They can be found along with other information in the Discord server. It’s also where you submit requests for advanced tier.

as of 2024 there are two tiers added
Studio and Enterprise tier (aka tier 6 and 7)

is automatic advanced/indie promotion still there?
The tier 5 unlocking for free still exists, but I think the staff are encouraging you to buy tiers, which is like getting pay to win.
but more difficult to fill the requirements
