how do i do it how do i make it so if a player’s data is saved the game doesn’t give the player the starter item

You can make a player variable and set its default value to false so it will be false when a player joins with no data, and set it to true when saving a player’s data so that variable will always be true for the player when joining again. This variable then can be used to determine whether or not the player should be given starter items when joining, for example:
